Parameters

  • <string> The string to work with.
  • <N> The number of characters to return.

Points To Note

If you supply a negative value for N $right will return <length of string> - N characters.

Examples

//echo -a $right(the,2)

Output: he

//echo -a $right(hihi,-1)

Output: ihi
